'96 4.3 Vortec Harmonic Balancer Upgrade

Building a '96 4.3 running a ProCharger P1sc (now for 30K) and am looking for harmonic balancer/damper options-I want a steel one because of the centrifugal s/c pulley, and would like something that is better than stock. The only option I can find is the TCI RATTLER. Anyone use that on their 4.3's? I called ATI and they said it would be total custom=$$$$-

    How is the "Rattler"?

    Good times!

i always was under the impression you could take a sbc one and have it balanced with the 4.3 crank. I could be wrong though.

Well V8 and V6 harmonics are different. They have different "pulses". Not particular to straight or V configuration, or horizontally opposed, but to the number or cylinders and throws on the crankshaft is my understanding. So supposedly, a 8cyl balancer isn't right for a 6cyl.

    Good times!
