    Megasquirt + Stock Idle Air Control Module

    Can I let the stock ecu run the idle air control module with Megasquirt running the injectors? The stock ecu must have warmup parameters built in right? Looking to fine tune.

    I've been running MS successfully for 4 years now- with no IAC control whatsoever. I did it to keep things simple- one less thing to tune. The IAC sensor is cut and disconnected. I manually hit the gas pedal during warmup for 45 seconds and I'm good.

    you can but for some reason the stock ecu may not idle down propperly. when I was using MS1 This is how I had it set up but about half the time it would idle right the rest i'd see idle at like 1500. currently im running MS3 and the IAC controle is pie to set up. BTW what version of MS are you running?

    I don't know if you would be willing, but you could remove the megasquirt and just tune the stock ECU with tuner cat through the OBD port inside the car. You may/may not have heard about the relatively new tuning software that came out a year and a half ago for our cars.

    http://www.msextra.com/doc/pdf/MS2V30_Hardware-3.3.pdf page 36 shows you how to wire the stepper valve. place the jumpers on teh main board as described and the iac pins will be
    DB37 stock harness
    (black plug)
    IAC 1A 25 27
    IAC 1B 27 26
    IAC 2A 29 24
    IAC 2B 31 25

    That is your cross over. The rest is settings in tuner studios
