Where to weld: Turbo oil drain

Where's a good place on the oil pan to put a turbos oil drain fitting? Have a new pan going on, gonna do the drain now. I know it's not rocket science, couldn't find any pics and just wondering what others have done and if it worked out well.
Tried to put up a pic of my car, its a 99 Firebird.

Mine was high on the passenger side. You need to have it above the oil level.

Okay, as short and straight a path as possible for the drain line and above the oil level high on the pan. I want to put the turbo on the front passenger side like most so I'll pick a spot around there. My new pan is coming soon and I got a steel fitting and cap today, it's a JIC hydraulic fitting which is an industrial AN type thing I believe in my research. It has a 5/8th diameter hole, is that the correct size, same inside diameter as -10an right?
Edit: looks like I got a -12AN, knew it looked big and AN sizes measure the o.d of the tube so -10an is 5/8 o.d tube.

Looks an, that is huge if it is more than -10, you will have to check if it will fit on the front of the pan where I have mine. Just make sure to mock it up to see if you will clear the crank pulley and allow you to get the oil pan bolts in. I had plenty of room with -10.

Few pics, -10an fitting welded up to the new oil pan and on the car. Is it up high enough?
