    to spool or not the spool?

    thinking about getting a spool for the camaro. along with a aluminum rear girdle, and 3:73 gears. tell me watcha think
    2000 saturn L200....RETIRED after 300,xxx miles of loyal service
    1993 camaro z28....sold to move home
    2005 grand prix....totaled
    1997 camaro v6 a4 convertable....being fixed and painted then heading for retirement
    2005 Bonneville GXP...the lead sled
    2000 camaro SS...LS1 stock block, LS 243 heads, 2004 LS6 cam, FAST 92mm intake and TB, hooker headers and catted y pipe, Borla 3 inch cat back with cutout....she hasnt seen a set of tail lights yet!!!!

    they dont make a spool thats a drop in for the 10 bolt.

    Only way Id ever get a spool is for a dedicated drag car. Have fun going around corners, parking, uneven tire wear and in some cases even breaking stock axles

    Not really recommended for a street car, just get a posi unit.

    But if you really wanted them bad then just weld up the stock gears.

    you hit the nail on the head ebony...i wasnt sure on the spline count. ill stick to searching for a Z28 rear end. for some reason there becoming difficult to find....

    I have a mini spool like the eBay link in my car. It's no big deal, don't even notice it's there except in parking lot maneuvers and there is gravel on the pavement. I drive on drag radials though, with street tires it will chatter the inside tire on tight turns.

    I had a spool in my firebird. Worst decision ever. It's stupid as fuck for a car that you will EVER take out of your driveway with the exception of onto the trailer to hit the track. Do it on your DD and I bet you snap an axle in less then 5 weeks
