Not to start a discussion of tension but I believe what's been openly posted but never reproduced is high 11's

Now for clarity you didn't specify NA boost juiced or any combination thereof

Just fastest time period. I bought Musicman's G force tranny and Spec clutch and i know i can wring a high 11 out of this thing next year. Good thing i bought his tranny because i lunched 3rd gear out of the stocker 3 days after i got it! Got it all installed yesterday and i love the gear whine. Plus no more GAY 3.75 first ratio to deal with.

I also decided to throw some money down the toilet by buying a new Detroit True Trac posi for the shitty 7 5/8 rearend in an attempt to keep it alive. Probably going to blow up anyways but if it holds a couple of hard hits, i think an 11 second run should be easy. That got me curious as to the best stick shift times people have run.

Oops. The dreaded 3rd gear failure. I couldnt clutch dump the rest of the 3rd gear teeth off so it would roll free and get me home so i had to trailer it. LOL

    ^no kidding.

Shoot for mid 11s and you will have the fastest T5 period. but if you want more specific I believe what dan said and its high 11s like 11.87 or something; been a long time but I think it was on here as someones new personal best then they switched to auto or went v8, cant remember.

It surprised me too. There were a few clutch dumps that were pretty harsh on it and just the other day it was on the verge of breaking traction in 2nd gear when i caught a weird spot in the street that shuddered it violently. I figured the input gearset would die first with the ultra small gear 3.75 ratio but in the end, just good old fashioned 3rd gear failure like always.

Alright well im gonna make it go 11's if it kills me or the stock engine blows.

I should be able to lean on the motor to close to 500rwhp with the ammunition i have so far. More boost, more nitrous etc. But the damn MAF is going to get in the way and mess things up for sure.

way more tuning tables that hptuners does not have. You will just need a bin file and luckily there are a few 98 camaro bins floating around

Its the same bin I'll be using for my "97" firebird as I'll just be using the pcm for engine controls.

If you need the bin file I had Mike send me his. I could never get it to open, though.

    Word of advice...

Throw some arp head studs so you don't lift the head

^oh now you agree with me j/k, I was getting close to coming over to your house and beating you if you put stock head bolts in it. I still cant get over jen telling you to use stock over arp.

Im a bad kid because i had the whole works out of the car, had a set of new head gaskets and ARP studs laying RIGHT THERE and........i got lazy and didnt do it. Hmmmm, 150k mile head gaskets and i didnt take a peek. I guess if it pukes a gasket it would be a good time to do some head porting while im there.

It did get a new timing chain and pushrods during the cam swap though. Everyting looked so good inside i didnt want to disturb the "magic" holding it together.
