    2010 V6 Camaro Drivetrain Basic Information

    6-Speed Automatic Transmission w/ TapShift Controls:
    - No limited slip differential
    - Able to have the remote-start option

    6-Speed Manual Transmission:
    - Limited slip differential

    why no limited slip on the auto? 300hp in bad weather, I would definitely want LSD or a differential. whatever was cheaper.

    So they flip flopped it. Used to be only the automatics came with LSD option and the manual didn't unless it was a Y87.

    I read somewhere that the 3.6l v6 puts out over 300 horse

    304 to be precise, and it pulls 29 mpgs.

    As for the LSD, there has also been word from GM techs (but no official confirmation that I know of) that the rear for the manual not only includes the LSD, but is also larger and sturdier than that on the auto v6s. Something to think about if you plan on modding your car.

    ^ If so then that is awesome news that going with the manual tranny gets you a somewhat upgraded rearend.

    or going with an upgrade to an automatic gets you a downgraded IRS.
