Decided to get this light working again its been a few years since it's been working. I couldn't find a burnt out bulb anywhere which was strange. I found a guide that says this bulb should be a 73 but I'm just not sure how that fits.. am I looking at the wrong connector? Problem is, I don't see any other connectors.

I think it's the same as the bulbs in the door that illuminates the switches. My bulb and harness came from the front of the loom on the car, not the back AFAIK.

yeah what the heck is that connector then.. it has the two prongs and doesn't look like it's for a light bulb. it's from the rear of the loom by the airbag thing.
Found another mystery connector on the right side of the console with orange/black wire.
I also found the correct shifter light wire, it was buried underneath the shifter plate for some reason. It is white/black and heres a picture for future reference.
I'm really curious what these other two are.

edit nevermind I am a complete imbecile. Make sure to turn your light switch to the middle position before you complain your new light doesn't work. /facepalm
I thought they would stay on with the key in like the rearview mirror but no, not the case.
I'll add don't waste your money on sylvania 74 it will not even fit into our sockets. the base is too long. i'll try a 73 on the shift indicator tonight and see if that works.
Also, don't get an LED for the shift light indicator because the light is too directional. you'll see in the video below how it looks once you twist the connector into place visible light almost disappears.
as you can see, you only get enough light when you angle the bulb into the hole.. unless you find a way to rig it to stay angled in, or you drill another new hole on an angle into the white plastic part, then it's not going to work very well.
Heres how the doors came out, direct replacement. 74-xHP.
rear view mirror, direct replacement. 4410-CW9 cool white
be careful not to pull the clips down when you pull the old lightbulb out. This took me half an hour but I wanted them oriented in perfectly facing directly down.
