    "New" wheels are in.

FedEx dropped these off today at my Dad's shop. Had to empty almost 1/4 of a dumpster's worth of popcorn lol!

    They're Speedline Mistrals, aluminum and around 20 lbs. 17" x 9.5"

Gotta get them refinished and I'll put another speedline logo on them. They're reflective so I gotta find a good place to get them.

I can't find any pics of these in the 5 lug pattern, but there are a few 4 lugs and also the 3 piece wheels out there too. Not sure about the production numbers or how rare they are but they're freaking awesome looking!

What do you think of Gunmetal or Anthracite wheels on a Maroon car? I'm thinking white logo, but a body colored logo could work...

It is just chipped paint, aluminum is fine. It is getting powdercoated again.

I'm not sure what I think of them yet, I'll wait to see them refinished.

What do those even come off of? Are those aftermarket rims or something a certain car came with? I've only seen these in that ugly primer looking color.

They might look good painted but why has every pic I've seen of those look the way they do?

They were track duty wheels. Guy used them on his f-body for SCCA GT class stuff. They're actually used, not just some showroom stuff.

Speedline wheels are pretty good wheels, mostly geared towards racing.

I love these wheels. They'll look sick powdercoated. And keep the Speedline logo white. I'd rock a set like that if I didn't have my ROH's already.

    Very interested in the outcome.

being aluminum and made for racings aren't you worried about pot holes?

Have you looked at how thick they are? It isn't like I'm going to be driving around on Bogart RR-10's.

Do you know anything about the Speedline company or what quality wheels they sell?

And honestly guys these have been sitting outside in Florida for awhile before I got them. They need a good wash, which would remove the "dinosaur fart stains," but the chips in the powdercoat are only superficial from them doing rapid mounting and dismounting of tires.

Turns out these might be more rare than I thought. There are some that were released on the Vauxhall Vectra ST200's and only 35 produced for that model itself. Can't find any info on what might have run the 17 x 9.5's though.

Might just need to send an e-mail to Speedline corporate and get a history lesson lol!

OOOOOHhhhhhh. I'm glad you cleared that up. I was thinking they were just showroom wheels this whole time after I looked at the pictures.

    ....

BTW, apparently I had nothing better going on in my life yesterday and I ended up having a dream, god knows why, about those wheels being on your car...only not repaired.

The day you start driving a wagon instead of that built firebird is the day I leave the board.
