awesome pics Chad. I was wondering if you should put some form of tire dressing on motorcycle tires when taking good pictures, but apparently not as your look amazing. I think it would make it look wierd..

^wouldn't putting on tire dressing be a really really bad idea?

Yes, yes it would. We used to sell a tire gel at CycleGear, but took it off of the shelves. Too many wipe-outs from customers using too much.

Plans for the GSXR are as follow...

Paint - Metallic black and Hints of gold

Exhaust - either a modded M4 GP pipe from an r6 or Supertrap

Tires - I have a set of Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's waiting

    HID's and vortex rearsets

The bike will more than likely be my DD and the main reason I bobbed it is because I hate looking like every other guy at the stoplight.

Subtle, but it completes the look. There's a guy at work with a satin R6 and he's got the red rimstripes, looks very sinister.

yea, for any white/gray/black bike, I'd only put red rim stripes...hell, there's even a blue gixxer in my apt. complex that has red stripes, and it looked good. My mental image of red on yellow didn't look too hot, so i decided to play it safe and color-match it

each side of the wheel is a 4-piece decal...not hard to do, but very time consuming to line up all 4 pieces just right

    I got mine from here

    http://fatbikez.com/accessories-for-...l-stripes.html
(I covered up the "CBR" lettering with extra vinyl I had)
...but really, all you have to do is google "wheel/rim stripes [insert bike type]" and you'll probably come across a dozen sites that have something that'll fit your bike...that's what I did, and I just went with the site that happened to have them the cheapest.

A word to anyone wanting to do rimstripes, save yourself the headache and get pre-curved decals. There are some companies that sell straight strips of vinyl that'll flex onto the round shape of the wheel...but it's nearly impossible to get them on the entire wheel, without having them look wavy and shit. Don't ask me how I know...let's just say, the rimstripes pictured are the second set I've had my hands on But, with the pre-curved ones, they're cake...only took me about an hour to do the whole bike, not including cleaning/prepping the wheels, of course

I hate this thread. Every time it pops up, it makes me kinda want a motorcycle. I already have enough toys and vehicles though.

Bump for some new mods: Yoshi TRS Tri-oval carbon fiber exhaust, CF frame sliders, CF bar ends, Progrip gel grips and a solo seat cowl. I got a CF tank pad too, but didnt take any pics of it, nothing too special.

I was thinking about going to a triangular shaped exhaust..if not for the sound difference, but the change in appearance should make the bike look better. I don't really like how the micron exhaust is the only real cylinder-shape on the bike. How do you like the yoshi exhaust?

I love it. It sounds amazing and the powerband is smoother than with the stock can. I was hesistant to get it at first not really knowing what it would look like on the bike, but the shape is perfect and flows really nicely with the rest of the curves and edges.

    I highly recommend it.
