Baseline!!! That means stock crate motor.

Paul is a guy who shipped his car from me to do a hybrid top end swap, tubular k & a arms (from GV Specialties), Performabuilt tranny, Herron Performance exhaust, upgraded rack/pinnon, LS1 breaks and my heads/intakes/tuning

    Here's Paul..

Will say it again, this is a stock 3.4 with boat-anchor iron heads

EDIT: The iron heads are also barley able to get over 5k RPM New rev limiter will be in the 6500 range with aluminum heads and upgraded springs...

Sounds like some trans issues? Or was that the motor? Something didn't sound healthy, it should have revved higher than that too. I take it you disconnected the speed sensor?

Yes, there are trans issues. He has a Performabuilt on the way He had a Corvette servo installed, and I wonder if it didn't do it in.

We didn't disconnect the speed sensor, I'm sure that's why we only got one clean pull...

hmm when the HP/torque varies like that (1 run goes a little high, 1 run is a little lower) doesnt that mean your engines pretty tired?

It's a crate motor with 15k miles on it. There are transmission issues, and the car was getting warm on the last few runs. I actually had to drive the car around for a while so the trans would warm up and stay in gear
