    bore

    Can you bore the 3.8, if so what performance would it gain and how much would it cost?

    can only go .030 and you won't notice any real from it

    if your rebuilding just hone it for the new pistons/rings

    you're talking some substancial monies there. u can only go like .030 over on a sixer. i got my 3.8l bored out for my rebuild, noticed a little gain. but then again, you have to have headers and stuff like me or it just wont make a difference.

    would I be better off just getting it cammed, and what cam would you suggest for a pretty much stock bird.

    you have a 99? get like an Abott N/A cam. if you use if for daily driver then don't get something too agressive.

    if you want power save the money on the bottom end get some heads, cam, maybe mill the heads to up the CR

    then smaller then stock HG w/ ARP studs, then have long tube headers, high flow cat back and great intake to support it

    rear gears
    stall
    sticky tires
    and tuning

    should put you in the 13.5 range easy

    b/s i went .060............and havent had a problem......Head gaskets are tickin time bomb...but aslong as u keep coolant levels up u should do fine. ( alot of bpeople say .060 over is too much on a ford.....but i also went .060 over on a 302 and it runs like a scolded dog.)

    .060 on a v6 (ford essex 3.8L) is too much though.
    Modded.
