    GT to V6 exhaust

Will a GT exhaust system work with a V6 or are the headers different lengths?

If the exhaust system is anything like f-bodies, then both y-pipe's (v8 or v6) will end where they connect to the rest of the exhaust probably to the cat converter. If all else fails then you might need to fab up your own y-pipe.

Are you considering buying a GT exhaust or have you already bought it? Also is it factory or aftermarket?

from what i know you can make any exhaust fit any vehicle with the right tools and enough piping... apparently the gt pipes are alittle shorter than the v6 pipes, i found this out when i was looking for duels for my car, Pacesetter makes an adapter kit for gt catback to v6 cats i suppose.. i decided on a different set up for my mustang

As far as I know the GT and V6 difference is the H pipe and mufflers. I've heard of a lotta people using a GT take-off catback on the V6.

I havent bought anything yet but I have been looking around and have realized that there is more selection for a true dual setup for a GT and the prices are less in some cases.

i dont know too much about the s197 models but i know for mine you would need another mid pipe.. they make adapters so u can put on any aftermarket catback system but i'll have to research for u and see if its the same for u..

if you're wanting to keep the cats & forward, yes you will need an adapter. Otherwise, if you're swapping in longtubes, then it'll just bolt right up

I have custom fabbed dual 2.5" exhaust with an H pipe to Magnaflows.

For the record, you can just swap the muffler with a GT muffler. Simple, cheap, easy.
