    PICS ADDED! Autocrossing sunday

Yep, pretty excited, this will be my first time. Going to Fostoria OH with my school car club.

I just have a few questions for the gurus

    I currently have:
    Intake
    Exhaust
    aluminum ds
    eibach prokit springs
    kyb agx shocks
    32mm swaybar w/ES bushings/endlinks

What class does this put me in? People have told me mixed things. I've heard "street prepared" the most. I just wanna see what I'm up against. In the end though I'm just goin to have a good time, and compare my times to my friends cars.

One last question, what are good settings for my agx's for autocross? Do I want softer in the front and stiffer in the rear? Right now their all at 6 (out of 8, with 8 being the stiffest).

Read through this. It will give you a good idea of what class you will be in. Every class is different, like headers/catback vs just a catback will be in different classes.

I think this sport is my new love!

I started my shocks at 6 front/8 rear and ended up going 8 all around. We got 5 runs. My first 2 my friend rode with me, and I went by myself the last 3.

I had serious traction issues as my all season radials suck, and my open 3.08 rear end didnt help. There was another 3.8 camaro with our group that had same mods as me but a 3.42 rear and good tires and he ran considerably better.

My times were as follows, 1st run to 5th run, respectively

    54.xxx
    52.849
    51.268
    51.174
    51.509

Average times were high 40's low 50's so I'm happy. I kept getting loose out of the turns, I just couldnt get any grip. I was manually shifting my automatic through 1st and 2nd cause my first run I just left it in 2nd and it took too long to downshift.

Im amazed at how well the car handles now since I haven't been able to push it this hard before. My hawk hps pads helped too, I had no brake fade.

I pushed it too hard my last run and ended up drifting half the course... everyone loved the smoke show but I wish I timed better. O well it was a blast!

Heres the only pic I have right now. One guy from my group still has to upload pics for us and I hope to have some better ones from the track soon (its a permanent track).

    Just got some more

Looks like you had fun. I'd love to give it a go sometime.

It's epic fun. You should try it sometime... Really helps you learn what you and your car can and can't do.
