Put yourself at a healthy weight and get in good cardiovascular shape. It will make your time easier. Other than that, they'll really provide everything you need/need to know there.

Keep in mind basic is nothing more than a mindgame.

BTW, I'm stationed at Lackland. Maybe I'll see you out on the drill pad getting smoked.

Just accept it, it builds character. Through adversity comes strength.

yep basic is just one big mind fuck game. Here is a lil peice of advice I can give you there are going to be some guys in your basic flight that you are going to HATE more than anything in the world. What ever they do just let it roll off your back and ignore them don't let them get to you. I"m not sure what all has canged since i went to basic since its 8 weeks now I'm sure most everything is the same but there is gonna be some differances.

i'm leaving for lackland June 17th and was starting to wonder myself of how its going to be. From what I hear, i should be alright, but still i'm a little nervous. I graduate high school on the 8th and then have a week to relax. Good luck.

Remember the line "Sir, trainee (your name here) reports as ordered."
Bring about $10 in crisp clean $1 bills in case you ever get to go to the vending machines (went twice for 15 minutes each when I was there). SHAVE at the airport before you get on the bus to Lackland. Try to get Pad duty for a detail and for the special duties (happens a couple times) try to get the gun range, stay away from KP duty. If I remember anything else I will post it up.
