So we are seeing more and more 4.3L's on this board everyday. And of course their modded, why else would you be here. Right? The first thing on the mod list when you get a vehicle is usually exhaust.
I know I've gone thru a handful of mufflers on my 4.3L; Flowmasters, Magnaflows, Dynomaxs. Hell even today I just cut out a Flowmaster Super 40 for a 3" SI/SO 14"x9"x4" Magnaflow (again) but what brand did you choose? Did you go with a whole cat/Y-pipe back kit or just the muffler? And if you can, post up a vid or sound clip to what you've got.

my magnaflo is a 3" in and out stainless and i can see right through
from one end and out the other... it quieter than a stock 2.8 fiero
at idle and cruise until i hit the loud pedal. Im also running a 3" cat
as well on a full 3" system.

I have a 1993 S-10 that used to have dual Purple Hornie glasspacks, !cat and all custom mandrel bent 2.5" tubing. That system actually fell off when my father-in-law was using it. He took it to some other shop and they put a new custom bent 2.5" system on it, but I don't know the brand of mufflers.
If I had my way, I would have put the Purple Hornies on again.

Thats like the the one I just put on mine, with a little twist because of the center in / offset out
I have a muffler elimination pipe with the factory cats on my 2006 Silverado. Runs a TON better, sounds good, and picked up 3 mpg. Even though we have no emission test in MS, it will pass anybodys. It looks stock, with the single pipe exiting behind the right wheel.
I Got A Cherry Bomb Pro Si/do Muffler Exiting In Front Of The Rear Pass. Tire And I Love It. It Really Sounds Like A V8 Untill 3800 Rpm Or So. I Had A Flowmaster But I Think It Sounded Like Crap On My 4.3
