Anybody ever try this ebay turbo on a 3.4?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/84-93...spagenameZWDVW

Messaged them and asked if it'd work with a 3.4 and they said it'd work with both the 3.4 and 5.7's.
My question is, is that really possible?

I used one of those turbos on a 3.1 with good results. If you look around on ebay, you can find the turbo alone for about $200.

Hardly a guru comared to others here as far as FI goes. Just done a lot of research and built a couple of turbo kits

If you want to make your car competitive with the 3800's, you need to get one of our 3500 top ends. Adding boost to that should be a winning combo .

yeah, i was reading about your 3500 top ends, it's like $500, isn't it?
i really might consider that, as my engine completely disassembled right now.
what does that really do as far as power goes?

Here are some comparisons from a stock iron and stock 3x00 heads...

Here's a pic of the inside of a 3500 intake port...

    oh, ok.
i see now. hmm. the only problem with that is my pacesetters i ordered won't fit now, right?
because the the 3.4 heads have a circle port, and the 3x00 has a D shaped port?
other than that, it's only $500 from you right?

Pacesetters will work if you enlarge the bolt holes a little because the 3x00 heads have the mounting bolts further apart. If the primaries are 1.6" or bigger inside (1 5/8"), then there would be no blockage of the port at all. Another option is to weld some new flanges on the Pacesetters and beat the primaries to the "D" shape for optimal flow.

Yes $500 gets you the top end complete and in stock form (with the exception of enlarged chambers). You will need a new throttle cable, TB (or adapt yours to work, but it's small), and the top of the 3500 plenum has to be modified to fit under the cowl (or use a 3400 UIM), and we can do that before sending it out for a small fee.

Alright man, I'll tell you what. I'll definately consider that. I've kind of given myself from now until March to get my car back on the road, so I'll let you know soon if i can spend the cash for it.
