Can I add that we have PLENTY of core PCM's sitting on the shelf. When we recieve a order we take a PCM, reflash it with the latest calibration from GM, apply the tune then send it out to you. We have a subscription to the same service the dealerships use.
Its nice because
1. You never have to send us your stock PCM if you don't want to.
2. If something should happen on our end with the tuning it doesn't keep you from driving YOUR car.
3. You get the latest calibration from GM.. Things like Fuel gauge calibration, cold startup, transmission calibrations etc.. are often tweaked after the model year is out.
Also.. We offer 96 3.8L tuning. You will recieve a new PCM tuned to your specifications wtih a vin number to match your car. Its really nice because you should always be able to pass plug in checks.

3.4 Tuning Modification Options
SLP Air-Temperature Module
The SLP Air-Temperature Module is a glorified example of the "resistor mod" that is often talked about on forums and sold on eBay. It plugs in between the IAT sensor and wiring harness and alters the signal sent to the PCM, reporting lower incoming air temperatures. This results in the PCM adding spark advance, typically 1 to 2 degrees according to SLP. They recommend the use of premium fuel to prevent detonation, and caution that the module is not for use with PCM's that have already been recalibrated to advance spark timing. The SLP part # 63012 module is not model/year specific and can be used on many GM 2-wire IAT sensor vehicles.
Jet Performance GM Module - Stage 1 or 2
Jet modules plug in between the car's stock PCM and wiring harness. They work by intercepting data coming from the various sensors (MAP, IAT, etc.) and provide dynamic tuning of the air/fuel ratio, ignition advance, transmission shifting, etc. Stage 1 is for stock or mildly modified vehicles and can be used with regular gas. Stage 2 is designed for 91+ octane fuel, 180° or lower thermostat and free-flow exhaust. Each module is year- and transmission-dependent, so make sure to obtain the correct part for your car. Some owners claim that they felt no change in performance using the chip, whereas others report a drop of several tenths in the quarter mile.
Venom 400 Performance Control Module
Similar in function to the Jet modules, the Venom 400 unit interfaces between the stock PCM and wiring harness. It intercepts signals sent from various sensors, in particular the MAP and TPS, and recalibrates the signal to obtain optimum spark timing and fuel trim. Unlike the Jet modules, the Venom 400 only activates when the throttle passes 25-30%, so they claim normal everyday driving is not affected. The Venom 400 also incorporates an on/off switch so that the car can be set to stock easily. The Venom part # V45-133 is applicable for any 93-95 3.4 Fbody.
Hypertech Power Programmer
The HPP was produced for the 94-95 Fbody 3.4 up until around 1996 when it was discontinued, and is no longer available for retail sale. Unlike the Jet and Venom performance modules, the HPP connects to the vehicle's OBD port and actually overwrites the stock programming in the PCM. The new data tables deliver optimum air/fuel ratio and spark timing for stock to mildly modified vehicles, such as aftermarket intake and cat-back exhaust. Unlike later versions such as the HPP+ and HPP3, the HPP does not have options to adjust for gear ratios, raise rev limiter, adjust shift points, etc. It can however eliminate the speed limiter and it lowers the fan turn-on temp to 190° so use of a lower temp thermostat and premium fuel is recommended. Although there are only 2 different programmers, one for 94 and one for 95, the HPP remembers the VIN of the vehicle it has reprogrammed, and can't be used on another vehicle until the original is returned back to stock programming, or the unit is "tricked" with the original VIN.
MSD Digital DIS-4 Plus
The MSD DIS-4 part # 62152 is designed for 6 or 8 cylinder distributor-less coil pack waste-spark ignition systems. With rotary dials on the unit you can retard timing, useful for those running nitrous or a power adder. There is also an adjustable two-step rev control for drag launches and step retard for use with nitrous. MSD claims a full-power, hotter spark and up to 20° of multi-spark below 3000rpm for better idle and throttle response. The DIS-4 is not make/model specific, and for the V6 Fbody you will also need 3 coil interface modules available separately for $35 each, and optional wiring harnesses are available so that cutting/splicing your factory harness is not required. 3.4 owners have claimed improvements in performance as well as gas mileage using the DIS-4, however as the unit only controls spark and cannot adjust fuel, Megasquirt may be the better way to go for those looking for more advanced control.
Fastchip
Fastchip is the only tuner currently offering reflash services for the 3.4 PCM. Similar to other vendors who offer mail-order tuning, you must send your PCM to them, they reprogram the computer and send it back to you. Various options are available for adjusting gear ratio's, shift points, fan turn-on temp, etc. Other than a separate engine management controller, this is probably the most thorough method of tuning the stock PCM.
Megasquirt DIY EFI
Megasquirt is a DIY kit for controlling electronic fuel injection and optionally spark and other engine controls. There are many different options depending on what you want to do with it and is not make/model specific. There are also several PCB revisions with increased capabilities, again depending on how much you want to control. Megasquirt comes as an unassembled kit which you must build or is available completely assembled. Megasquirt can be programmed by you to take control of various engine managment duties that the PCM would normally perform such as timing and fuel. Using a laptop and serial connection you can monitor and adjust programming stored in Megasquirt to suit your application.

60° Inclusive PCM Swap
60° Inclusive offers a PCM swap kit that will allow you to replace your 93 or 94-95 M5 reflash PCM with an older PROM style PCM. This gives you the ability to change out the chips so you can edit and burn your own tune.
