I ran LS6 springs on my last V6 car for about 5 years and .528" valve lift without any issues. I was always running a stock GM chain set and still had the balance shaft in place and operational.

They did not merge according to the owner of LMR. SSI's lead builder is now working full time for LMR, and Joe from SSI, I am told, is doing some tuning for them here and there. But they did not...
Why 130#? Nitrous really doesn't need a heavier spring than NA. It isn't putting any more pressure on the backside of the valve like boost pressure does.
Yea, that's weird over there. We use the same springs (or variations thereof). I see the damage a broken spring can cause to an engine on a daily basis. You're clearly in doubt about their status,...
I'd HIGHLY recommend replacing the pushrods while you're there! The stockers are not a strong point in the engine!
Grab a compression tester from Autozone (cheap one is fine since you're going...
Loctite works wonders :)
The EGR provision is only really a problem on the 99+ cars if I remember correctly. I believe it was 99 when GM changed the EGR tube, and Pacesetter did NOT adjust the headers. They were made for...
Yea, I thought about that at lunch...that blows. Guess I'll start looking for a used R&A :)
I decided now that I'm leaking a quart of fluid every other week that it's time to replace those leaking boots. I have never been a fan of front end work: what am I getting myself into?? GM labor...
I ran Pacesetter headers when I had my Camaro for years. Aside from the poor EGR provision for the later model cars (I deleted my EGR anyway), they were fine. Retorque the header bolts after a few...
I changed mine without unhooking the motor mounts and all that just by reaching bway back and feeling it out. BUT, that would make it easier. You just release the two "dog bone" mounts at the font...
I've seen FAR more defective Bosch, NGK, etc aftermarket O2 sensors off the shelf than GM. I'll pay the couple extra bucks and not worry about the headaches of those other sensors :)
That's right. You take the best port from a hand ported set, and digitize it so it's consistent for all ports in the CNC head. I'd much rather have a CNC'd head, assuming the master port was done...
Are these the heads yall tried on Wendell's car? If so, how'd they do?
They'll have one of the first Camaros in the state...and headers/catback, and an intake are the first items slated for design and production (headers for the V8 engine obviously) :)
That's almost true. It's actually the overlap that causes most of your "lopey" sound. Duration as well as lobe separation both play into that equation. Your exhaust valves on a 210/220 camshaft...
If it's a bad MAF< many times you can unplug it (which kicks you into speed density mode), and see if it starts/idles/drives any better. Usually, that will be the case if it's a bad MAF.
That code is thrown when the MAF frequency is 50% different from the speed density calculation for 5.0+ seconds.
Check for an engine vacuum leak, PCV vacuum leak, an incorrect PCV valve, or the...
QFT right back at ya :)
Isn't the oil pressure sending unit also a fuel cut-off switch on these cars?
Call Scoggin Dickey. They're a great source for new GM parts!!
It cleans up the engine bay and make for easier access to spark plugs. That's the main reason people delete it.
Thanks for the kind words guys! I'm not there anymore, but really appreciate the feedback :)
Marodout: What were you ordering that you somehow got transfered to Raymond? He works the front...
It's not that the LS7 block can't handle it, they can. Hell, even LS1/6 blocks have seen 1000+rwhp/ftlbs on FI setups with a good degree of longevity!
TheyCallMeTim: You're along the right...
Hmm...if I lose any, I'll definitely be changing them again back to NGK's! I don't expect to though :)
I have never bought a wobble extension for some reason...I guess I've just never NEEDED one...
