Hi guys,

So I'm finally out of school and starting to make some money and I'm looking to upgrade my '98 firebird a bit more. So far I've done a custom CAI and had a dual cat-back exhaust put on. Not exactly sure what brand it is, as I had it done for about $200 at a small shop, it sounds a lot like the magnaflows I've heard and was definitely well done. I'm looking at adding some short-tube Pacesetters (coated/uncoated?) and I was wondering if it would be worth it to throw on a high-flow cat while I'm on it, if you guys have any suggestions.

I don't have access to a lift so I was also wondering how hard it would be to install myself from underneath. I was considering having it all done at a shop since I believe the y-pipe, and possibly the cat, would need to be welded, correct?

Any advice, tips, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

Ok, I've got 2 issues, probably the same cause, one is a noticeable vibration in the front suspension when at speeds around 55-65 MPH it less noticable once I hit 70 but its still there and the other when I was on the highway today I noticed when the driver front hit a bump in the road it felt similar to having a flat tire. in the 6 weeks I have owned this car I have had the tires balanced and rotated to try to eliminate this vibration, but its still there what should I crawl under there to check over the weekend?

Also looking at pictures of other firebirds my front end looks like its sagging lower then others with stock suspension.

Specs are all stock suspension with stock wheels and the standard size tires that belong on them, 99 firebird possible warped rotor or ABS issue on front driverside wheel (I get heavy pulsation in the pedal when braking and seams to be coming from that corner)

Greetings V6'ers, I'm performing the Intake Manifold Gasket maneuver and I've got everything off except the lower intake manifold. Sure enough, I've got coolant in all the wrong places so I think I'm on the right track. I've got 10 bolts out so far but believe there are 12. I've searched the other threads and found "trouble pulling the LIM" pulls up the same issue and gives a handy diagram. There is, however, a discrepancy. The fellow says that there was a bolt not on the diagram. Is this true. Are there 12 or 13 bolts. Prying the aluminum intake while bolts are still in place seems like a BAD idea!!

OK, so like most of you I have the 3800 series II, in my 99 firebird, I also have a massive sound system, but even with that OFF whenever I hit the brakes while under 1k rpm my headlights dim, I also get some fluctuations in the voltage at idle, i'm willing to bet the issue is a weak old alternator, but years ago when I had my tahoe it had the 105 amp and I was on my 3rd one of those when I sold it so I want to do this car good, what are my options for upgrading to a larger alternator all I can find so far is a 150 amp from powermaster, are they any good? Or is there a bracket out there somewhere that will let me use something other then the CS130D case design?

I have already done my "big 3" actually I did 4 cables, I used 1/0 gauge (red wire in the photo) for the lines from negative battery to chassis, negative battery to engine block (kept existing cable too) and positive battery to alternator, and used the blue wire to "double up" the positive battery to accessory post at the fuses.
