I know the Third gen will cost more to swap, but what would be cooler. I've kinda had an itch for a 91-92 RS with an LS1/T56 combo... :bang:

3rd gen, I don't see the point in putting a ls1 into the v6 now that there is 5 million pounds of stereo stuff in it.

Third gens aren't much lighter then 4th gens like 200lb difference at most. The only third gens that were light were the 82-84's because that was before the installment of federally mandated bumper supports for better crash testing. However most of those are rust buckets at this point.
A 91-92 RS like bop is talking is everybit of a 3300lb car.
