hey guys im new so i dont know if there is a specific place to post what im about to talk about.. but

i am buying a 2000 pontiac trans am so i am going to use the 1997 firebird as a project car i want to engine swap my car from a v6 to a LT1 V8 i want to know if anyone has done this before.. and if knows of tips and things thanks!

Why don't you save all the money that it will cost you and use it to make your T/A awesome?

I second that. Why would you want to go through the headache and extra money of a swap when you've already got a kickass T/A??
Spend the extra money on the T/A you're getting and make it nice and fast ;)

there is a guy i know that swapped an LT1 into a V6 chassis and then swapped back to a V6.

a few guys have swapped LS1s into their V6 chassis, so yes, the V8 swap has been done.
