I deleted it on mine. I had planned todo it to begin with and also the Pacesetter EGR hookup doesnt seal so why not. I doubt there are any performance gains the valve shuts off under WOT
I blocked mine off for like a month no performance gains whatsoever. Just leave it on it really doesn't make a difference, only takes up a little space.

I deleted mine because of the Pacesetters, and also because it's an extra pound or so on the front end I dont need. Also without it there's a little extra space and a cleaner looking engine bay. Don't do it for performance. Also, just blocking them off, and not discnnecting the wires to it will throw off your A/F ratio as the PCM expects that but cannot really meter via the MAF. Get it tuned if you go this route!

matt is correct..
there is no performance gain to be had.. the egr valve closes at WOT..
just less crap in the engine bay..
I got rid of mine when i for my headers.. and then used the intake side for my vacume lines later..
i would leave it alone..

After deleting the EGR your PCM would throw a Service Engine Soon light... so you would have to use a PCM editor like HP Tuners to get rid of the code.

HP Tuners is fairly expensive and can be challenging to learn... the best option for most people is to use Texas Speed and Performance's mail order tuning. You can find more information about that at www.Texas-Speed.com
It is cheaper and much much easier. :D

I took mine off because I have pace setters and had the code deleted when I had my car tuned. I don't know if it made a difference.
I've heard it will make the car richen up if just blocked off.

I deleted mine on my Z34 when I built and installed the headers, and I disabled it in the Memcal and made a block-off plate. Again no performance, but it is less crap, less weight, etc.
