I was wondering if it mattered wether i would get wheels that say FWD or RWD whats it matter they are just wheels? and if i only get 18'' should i get new brakes? and by brakes should i get rotors and everything or just calipers and pads or what?? little help here please.
Our offset is FWD, thats what I was told be a local wheel and tire guy here. New brakes? Unless they're warped or very worn, new brakes are not needed for 18" wheels. They're plenty of people running 18" wheels without a brake "upgrade".

Its not as simple as that. There are a lot of variables so you need to do some research for what will fit best for the wheel size and width you want. Unless you went to 26" wheels you wont "need" new brakes, but they wont fill in the space behind the wheel as well with a big, open spoked design 18" wheel.

I think filling in the area behind the wheel and maintaining stopping power are two different things :)
I agree with Bob, brakes aren't a necessity for 18" wheeels. However, UMI sells a corvette from brake conversion... ;)
