Ive seen lt1 swaps in 98+ cars, about as easy as doing it in a 93-97. Pretty much the same process

Ok besides getting the engine, and maybe a transmission etc., what else would have to be done?

The same as any engine swap you need engine, tranny, wiring harness, pcm, bolt on parts for the engine{water pump, etc} hoses, motor mounts, Lots of wiring work. Prob wanna upgrade the suspension, brakes etc

Don't forget interior things, like center console (if going from MT ot AT or vice versa), and gauges.

Ah lemme see here someone posted this for something else yesterday but go to tacreations and they actually have a matrix of swapping in what heart to what car, and a list of everything you need for the specific swap.
They also sell engines and tranies..pretty cheap too, esp. if you are nearby.

I think people underestimate a built LT1. They can be had cheaply now. Parts are cheap. Only real problem with them is the Opti-spark.

I dont underestimate a built LT1, ive seen some really really fast h/c lt1's....its just the LS1/2 are the best sbc's ever built.
h/c ls1/2>h/c lt1 (equivelent heads/cams)

TAcreation used to have a chart that told how to swap an lt1/ls1 into any year f-fody.
They don't anymore. This might be somewhat useful though. No one is better at engine swaps than these guys.

an LS-6 and LS-2 are pretty much the same motor. they have roughly the same amount of hp and tourque. as far as putin an LT-1 in a 98+ dont do that. car is already pretty much setup for a LS-1 and the 98+ cars a bigger then the 93 to 97 cars

soo, svt_killer, you mean SVT focus right? and yeah, do the LS-1. Its a very popular swap and you will find alot of support for it.
