Guys, we are going to run a special on tuning that will run through the end of this month(July). Jason can tune 97+ cars and uses HP Tuners. The special is $150 + shipping. :) Don't pass up the special, Jason's the BEST tuner out there! :D Give us a call or shoot us an email if you have any questions!

Thanks!

Holy hell...prayers have been answered.
Would it help for a better tune if I dyno'd the car and also sent the various histograms that I pull off of it with HPtuners?

Gawd count me in...my car needs a tune and a gear adjustment.

Damn! I just had this done too. Would have saved a $100.00.:dammit: This is an outstanding price and and very well worth it. Anyone that has been thinking about doing this...nows the time. You wont be sorry.
Thanks TSP for the support!

Linxs- Give Jason a call and talk with him about your setup. Jason's a great tuner and he should have the info your looking for!

floydsummerof68- The more info Jason has about your setup the better, so if you could get it on a dyno before sending the PCM that would be great.

00firebird- Just to give you an idea...I have an LS1 but with just a lid and catback, I picked up ~10RW with a tune. I'm not saying you'll pick that up but the tune was worth it to me.

j_downey50- Glad we could help you spend your money "wisely"!

PatRussell- Thanks for the kind words and let us know if there is anything we can do for you!

If ya'll have any questions, feel free to give us a call!

what could you guys do for me with an intake/exhaust car? anything?

They showed a before/after dyno increase of something like +10HP/12Tq on just an intake/exhaust car last year. If you search on the 'other site' for 98v6 (I think it was him), you might be able to find it.

I just got my PCM back from TSP with an update and want to say 'Thank you' for the great job that Jason and everyone at TSP does. If you are wondering if its worth it or not on an intake/exhaust car, it DEFINATELY is....especially on an A4. you WILL notice a difference. There arent many +10HP mods you can do in the $150 price-range. You cant even buy an exhaust for that.

are u still doing that thing where if 1 day it to you will you 1 day it back?
also, when u tune it do you do anything that would affect longevity of anything? tranny/engine etc..

FloydSummerOf68
07-16-2005, 09:18 PM
Any modifications will affect the longevity of tranny/engine. If you want performance, you give up some longevity.

00firebird
07-17-2005, 01:18 PM
how much though? i need a car for the next 4 years more than i need 5 wheel horsepower.

AlienInv8r
07-17-2005, 07:37 PM
If you maintain your car, the tune wont hurt your longevity much at all. It'll let your car run more efficient and up to its potential.

I'm definitely gonna jump on this bandwagon for a tune, amazing price.
Does this special include future updates? A few months from now I will *hopefully* have a few more mods than just intake/exhaust, wasn't there something in the past where we just send the pcm back again and the update would be free?

Brian @ Texas Speed & Performance
07-18-2005, 09:20 AM
I don't see how a tune would hurt longevity that much if at all. Jason can usually get the PCM out same day. You can pay for next day air, ground, etc. Just depends on how fast you want the PCM back.

I too am wondering about future updates?
Before long I'll also have heads and a TC on that I'd like my car tuned for.

BrianJason can usually do it the day you get it to him... so however long you take to send it. The quickest would be if you overnighted it to him, he did it the follwoing morning, and then you paid a few extra bucks to have it overnighted back. So 3 days at most. If you want to do this you might want to call Jason and talk to him about your plans so he can set aside a morning to do it and get it out instead of suprising him with it and expecting it back the next day. :)

I cheaped out and sent mine out 2nd day on a Tuesday. Emailed Jason to be expecting it, called Thurseday to ask a couple questions and he already had it done and re-packaged waiting for UPS pick-up. Even using second day down and back and spanning the 4th of July weekend I had my PCM back in the car the following week.
Great service.

Pull off the elec. connections from the PCM and fold them back out of the way. take out the screws that hold the PCM tray. WIggle it up some, slide the PCM out of the tray, pry back the plastic weatherstipping for the windshield, pull the PCM past that until it jambs against the side of the engine bay. Pull even harder scratching up the paint on the side of the engine bay and its out.

Somehow getting it back in is worse.....

what do i need to do so that u know im sending it? do i have to call or anything. also what about address to send it to and who to make the money order out to. and does "+ shipping" mean i have to pay for it to be shipped back?

FloydSummerOf68

You pay to have it shipped both ways I believe. And the more you pay...the quicker the shipping options :)

Texas Speed recieved my PCM Aug 10th. I can't get any status report.

I'd recommend calling them. They have been quite busy restructuring things as a company doing more things in-house so they may not have time to check the board all the time.

Their contact information can be found by clicking the top button in the Sponsor Sidebar.

I know this ended a LONG time ago, but how much is the tunning right now?

Brian @ Texas Speed & Performance
08-24-2005, 09:32 AM
mdcamaro- What's the name and I'll look into it. You should have already seen it. I apologize for no response. Jason has been very busy lately. We have moved all of our cylinder head porting and finishing in house and it has taken up a lot of his time and he just may not have had time to respond.

ender2664- We'll still do it for the $150 price. Let me know if you decide to do it!

where can you get an extra pcm? i forgot

esmitty82
10-01-2005, 10:51 PM
You just have to keep an eye out for them. Someone chime in here, but I believe you can have someone reflash the PCM from a different year and even make as long as their compatible to fit your car. Example would be a 97 Firebird can be reflashed and programmed to fit into a 98 Camaro. Right?

mdcamaro

Jason was able to use a PCM from a Malibu for my Camaro both had the same sock numbers. I bought it on e-bay from a junk yard in Hawwaii.
