12 psi is about the limit. (~high 500's-620hp greatly dependent on setup.) Most people seem to run about 550rwhp just to keep it safe.

actually, the msot common PSI setup on a stock LS1 is 8 psi.

a basic parts list:
motor
tranny
k-member
front suspension
wire harness
fuel pump
drive shaft

there might be some more minor parts i missed. you are best off getting a totaled ls1 fbody as a parts car.

Also computer.. and it depends if you're car is Y87 or not.. You may have to get some steering components... Also throttle cable for non TC and you'll probably want to get a new rear end if you don't have a Y87 or posi... And you don't necessarily need a new fuel pump.. you can use yours just put in a corvette fuel filter and reroute the return.. Probably a lot of other maintenance that you'll wanna do while the motor is out and stuff... I'd advise throwing headers on while it's out... a lot easier...

Yes, you need the steering rack. You can use a 97' vette fuel rail it comes with a return line.
