4.3 Engine Interchange

I need to replace my 92 4.3 astro engine and while look for engine I have come across a statement that engines after 96 will not work can anyone tell me why.
I do not see what the problem would be as long as I have all the wiring and the ECM

Didn't you just get an answer to this in the other thread you posted...that's exact the same?
