It's close. The accessories on the front of the motor are setup different though. It may not fit correctly until you switch over to ls1 f-body style accessories.

I believe he has just the complete engine...hes doing an LS2 swap. It will not drop in either, I believe you will need new motor/trans mount, new trans(of course), dash wiring(i believe), engine/trans harness, ecm, and abunch of other nitpick stuff..

If you are doing a conversion you'll have to do all this anyway.... :)
It'll be an LS1 long block with oilpump, Water pump, coil packs, Valve covers, intake and throttle body.

You don't have to have a new tranny. You would need to change the bell housing on yours and it would work, but this may be more of a headache then it's worth... Also, dash wireing doesn't have to be changed. The guy who did my swap just changed some pins in the wiring connections and reprogrammed teh ecm to read my speed according to the 6 cylinder gauge cluster. I went ahead and got a different one for a trans am, but haven't put it in yet or went back up there to get him to reflash my ecm
Oh, and another thing. It would be a really good idea to go ahead and put a set of longtubes on it while it's out of the car. Thats how i did mine and man was it a lot easier.
Something you might run into, post swap is your pinion angle being off... Mine was and i ordered an adj. TA from Spohn and am messing with it now..
