well im pretty sure it will be alot cheaper then a ls1 going into a 67 camaro...u can find 3.8's pretty cheap online and at junkyards/salvage yards...hope this helps.

is there any particular reason on why u would want to swap to a 3.8 instead of just replacing the 3.4..
to do the 3.8 u would have to do a whole pcm swap along with a harness and trans. the trans behind the 3.4 is non electronic.it would work behind the 3.8 but would set ses lights.

They did get it in 93 but it wasn't electronic until 94.The 93 tranny was just basically a 700R4.
I'm sure that the swap is pretty straight forward. No major fab work. Wiring, motor mounts, tranny mounts/crossmember, motor, other little parts probably.

B/c it's a better engine?...(ducks to avoid bricks thrown by the 60 degree crowd)
Oh and from what I've heard +1 to Sandman's post.

*throws brick but misses*
If you want a stronger 6 it would probably just be easier to swap in the 3.8 since it is relatively straight forward swap. The 3.8 already has another 40 HP over the 3.4 and has a better aftermarket IMO. Not shooting down the 60*, just stating a fact. 60* are still better though :P

94&95 3.4 tranny is the same as a 3800 tranny, once the motor is out the harness isn't bad, crossmember is the same but the 3800 has different motor mounts, and most 3800 have dual cooling fans, so I'd get those too

I don't know much about the 3.8's in camaro's but if you swap a 3.8 into one that had a 3.4 don't they have starters on the oppsite sides, are the radiator in/outs the same and are the ecm's compatable? Think I'd throw a cam catback and a true CAI on the 3.4....
