well i have a 92 saturn sc2. i decided that for a good project im gonna mod the crap out of it. im definitly gonna say there was some:chug: involved in this but i have my reasons. the car has a small wheel base and is ultra nimble in the turns. quite possible better then a viper i had a few years back (before wife and kids lol) i use the car now just as a commuter sine i work 71 miles from home one way. anyway. i mastered the l67 when i had my gtp. i love the engine. i also love rwd. so since my saturn will never rust:D i figure it would be a good platform for a swap. so far i have some huge thoughts that i need to refine before i post them, but im thinking a 3rdgen/4thgen camaro disc rear. mount the control arms to a custom frame off a stock saturn one. modify for a crossmember and to bolt a l67 to. then make motormounts and run either a supercharged or turbo l67. before you say im nucking futz i have done a few rwd conversions for a shop i used to work at. i think smoking a import with a rwd 5/6speed saturn would rock. especially a 350-400hp motor in a 2400lb car. anyone know what the 4th gen 3.8 manual trans is?

I'm pretty sure it's a T-5, if I'm wrong someone will be sure to correct me.

yeah, its a T5, and it sounds like you have alot of work ahead of you! when your done, though, that will be one fast saturn!!! good luck man!

idk about all the added weight... keeping it at 2400 will be hard...

all iron l67 +++weight rwd tranny +++weight, rear diff, axels and drive shaft.. ++ weight...

when you get done, i bet it will be almost if not over 3000

Remember if you turn it into a RWD car, you're going to have issues with where the inlet for the supercharger is pointed (I.E. Firewall).

when you get done, i bet it will be almost if not over 3000 yea i figured there would be some gain. taking a light rear assembly should keep it the same as all the junk i the rear now. the engine should be the same as the engine/transaxel assembly if not a bit less. and those t5's weigh next to nothing. so if i can keep to around 2700 with my radio still ill have a sick dd with good milage and a whole lot of fun

i made a m90 mock up for a friend with a 3rdgen figured all the clearance problems out. but im leaning to turbo since the m90 + intercooler, then the wieght of the intercooler radiator will be much. i want the fugger to look as stock as possible except for some bling bling 15's

If you do decided to go m90, get an aussie one it has a bend that comes around towards the drivers side strut tower to allow for rwd applications. I think if you gonna put that kinda money into the car converting it to rwd you should go turbo, but how about a turbo gn motor, you can make a ton of power and have decent set of heads at the same time. a stage 2 or 3 gn motor would be pretty rocking in a light car.

actually believe it or not, stock to stock gn heads were/are worse than L67 heads
