depends really, msot say your better off selling the 6 and buying the z28

Well an ls1 can go anywhere in the 2500-5000 depending on condition and if it comes with t56 or 4l60 trans. Wiring harness has to be re-done you'l want the aluminum driveshaft(not absolutely ncessary) about 100 dollars is a fair price. I believe you might have to modify the k member to accept the 5.7. Definitely different motormounts. Differnt guage cluster. Ohh hell basicly theres a bunch more, and the rule of thumb by those more knowing than me is if you want v8 power buy a car with the v8 unless your willing to turbo or juice the 6.

The time it takes for the swap is usually worse than the money that you have to put up for it to happen.

this caught my mind because there is an ls1 with tranny computer wiring and all the accesorries(starter, alternator,compressor..... for sale on ls1tech for 3500

i don't want to discourage anybody at all. but i also hate seeing projects half finished because of the work involved and i don't want anybody to be disillusioned... EVERYTHING has to come out.
