Another LS1 swap thread

I have noticed recently that the LS1 GTO guys are pulling thier motors and buying LS2's. THey are selling Turnkey LS1's for dirt cheap. I found one for $1750, and another for $2K. BOth had less that 8K miles.

I emailed TA creations to get a parts list for the swap, but they are ignoring me. Does anyone know of a good site that really details out the rigors of an LS1 swap? I wanna know prices, parts, time, etc..

All the stuff we have here is more speculation. Every member who does and LS1 swap usually stops posting here, so we never find out what is actually involved.

I like his site, but its for a car that would have had an LT1, so he had to do a lot of extra work. SInce I have upgraded fuel, suspension, etc... I think my swap would be pretty easy. I don't know though.

Considering that his V6 is making a lot more than my Firehawk, I wouldn't think that his V6 is a bad thing. :shrug:

And wow that is friggin cheap Malice. But if you and viper do some calibration, maybe you guys can both be running good in due time?

I've seen that link. I emailed TAcreations to get a more accurate parts list, but they never emailed me back.

The only reason I ever thought of doing an LS1 swap is that my car makes 3Hp below 3000rpm. I want low rpm torque. LS1 swaps are a bitch though. I talked with my wife, and we decided that after I get promoted next year, I'll get a GTO as my new daily driver. That way, I have a cool car to DD, and I get to keep the V6 around, since it's a legend.

Malice I think I like the plan you've got worked out. I like to pretend that one day I'll swap an LS1 into my car. Lord knows if it'll ever happen. :(
