I finally got rid of my altezzas.
I didn't like em all that much in any state, chrome, tinted to look like gunmetal, and I don't like black tails on my car, esp. w/ all the lighter colors in my scheme. So now I'm back to what I love cleared stock..

a little background.
a few days before my wedding, I got rear ended, and the damage caused the black layer to seperate a bit on my stock, left alone tails, so for the hell of it, I cleared them. I loved it that way. but the seperation became worse so I tinted them. Still looked ok, but not what I liked. Traded them off for chrome altezzas, hated the chrome, tried tinting them to a gunmetalish hue. Better, but too dark for my taste. It just didn't go together right during the day, but god did they look awesome in the evening. Did the sequential blinker mod. Even better. Over time, I got sick of the altezzas. Still wanted clear tails. Traded w/ a local member yesterday came home, cleared em out.

Within an hour of getting them, they were cleared and reinstalled, still in perfect shape w/ a total minimum of paint chipping damage inside the tails. Today I finished resealing the hole I cut in the top of the back of each tail to get the middle lense out, and for the time being will just again use the Jamstrait LEDs.

and on to the piss poor low res pics.

my old cleared and tinted tails (really looked like shit close up and in person, the tinting was partially to cover the damage)

stock tails, holy hell, that's the day I got my car, talk about stock!

you should get some color matched vinyl for the reflective part, maybe the grey you did your fascia in? the red just throughs it all off.

Still love your car though

I got a plan for that.

then I'm going to put a GTP reflective overlay on the left taillight, then "Supercharged" on the right taillight. Then I'll tint the reflective strip (not too dark though) then when done, remove the overlays, so that area under it will be untinted. I think that'll look badass.

I've always wanted to make love to your car.....um...shit...I mean I've always loved your car....damnit! lol

the new tails are perfect for it. Cleared is the way to go on some colors, always over altezzas on our cars.
