Does anyone know if the entire shifter is hollow? I thought of getting a Lou's short stick shifter, and cutting the stock shifter and bolting it up to it....but I can't remember if the whole thing was hollow or not.

i got a pro 5.0 shifter and thought of geting lous short stick as well but when the shifter arrived i jus cut the shifter handle down about 1 1/2 inches. you dont really need to buy lous short stick, its a waste of money. and the shifter handle is solid.

Dont modify the stocker, its POS compared to aftermarket shifters. I've got a B&M in mine and the throws are atleast 50% shorter, maybe a little more. It made such a difference in my driving. I was skeptical in buying one for a long time but when I went through my transmission I said screw it and bought one, its WAY better and definately worth the money.

well i figured if the stock shifter was solid steel i could cut a groove in it to bolt up the lou's stick, its not expensive i cant ever find any used V6 shifters for sale, and never see any on ebay except for mustangs.....new they are outrageous, and honestly i dont want one bad enough to pay what they cost new
